The position of “Il Cipressino Bed & Breakfast” is considered unique in all the zone. Located right in the beautiful Tuscan country (Chianti) it is both a paradise of quietness deeply in contact with the nature and a perfect starting point for interesting excursions in the near art-sites that all the world is envious of. All these places are easily reachable in a few minutes by car or by bus (the bus stop is just few meters far away from our Bed & Breakfast).
The particular position of our Bed & Breakfast, situated right in the centre of Tuscany, allows you to reach easily cities like Florence and Siena, medieval towns like Monteriggioni and San Gimignano, and different seaside and spa resorts. Some of our tourists have also organized beautiful excursions across Tuscany and Umbria returning to our Bed & Breakfast late in the evening. The drive to Umbria takes about 1 hour.

FLORENCE (25 km) - Florence is known all around the world for the extraordinary richness and quality of work of art, for it’s elegant aristocratic style and for the natural beauty of the countryside. It’s contribute to the Italian civilization was very big, and it was also the cradle of Italian literature and language, and of Humanism and Renaissance too.

SIENA (20 km) - Siena is a noble city which lies down over three hills in the hart of Tuscany, and also extraordinary attractive because of it’s middle-age natural aspect and the other witness of a great civilization. The Palio race, that in an incredible popular passion is worldwide known too, is contended in the Piazza del Campo square every second of July and 16^th of August.

SAN GIMIGNANO (10 km) - San Gimignano is a picturesque little village situated over a hill dominating the Elsa valley in a florid agricultural zone. Because of the untouched middle-age aspect, the big towers and the number of monuments and art works too, is considered one of the most suggestive place of all Tuscany.

BARBERINO VAL D'ELSA (5 km) - Barberino still retains intact the structures of the old middle age fortified village. It has recently been mentioned in the “Touring Club” as one of the 9 most welcoming places of Italy. In it’s territory insist the beauty of the suggestive Linari village and of the near village of Sant’Appiano, with it’s roman parish of big architectonic and religious importance.

COLLE VAL D'ELSA (7 km) - Colle is a little city in the Elsa valley, situated part in the plain and part on a hill. This second part retains intact the aspect of the middle-age village, with the rests of the ancient fortifications and the little lanes. Is known as Town of Crystal, , because more of 80 % of the world production comes from there.

MONTERIGGIONI (13 km) -Monteriggioni is the most typical middle-age village, closed in it’s great defensive wall reinforced by 14 four-sided towers, and with it’s unforgettable skyline. This village is known in Italy and in the rest of the world too, especially from the Dante Alighieri’s literature studious, because of those verses of the Inferno where Dante compares the giants of the Cocito’s hole to the towers of the village:<<...pero’ che come su la cerchia tonda, Monteriggion di torri si corona.>>

STRADA DEL GALLO NERO (Chianti Wine) - Gaiole in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Greve in Chianti. Those are some of the villages that the road called as the famous Chianti wine which is produced in that zone, passes trough. A way of extraordinary interest for the oenological-gastronomic tourists.
